Show Production

We produce the whole show — content, technical direction, lighting, sound and cueing — so the experience runs flawlessly from doors to final blackout.

Live Show Production

We produce and run immersive live shows from first cue to final blackout. Content, technical direction, lighting, sound and show control are planned as one production, then operated live so the experience stays coherent from doors open to the end of the show.

For planetariums, immersive venues, product launches, concerts, keynotes and large-scale events, we combine pre-produced content with real-time visuals, live feeds and responsive show control.

Live direction for immersive venues

Domes and immersive venues are increasingly being used for live events, from keynote presentations and moderated panels to orchestral concerts and product reveals.

We direct the visual experience around the live action, working with choreographers, moderators, musicians, presenters and show designers to coordinate projection, lighting, sound and stage cues.

Rather than treating immersive visuals as a background layer, we build them into the timing and structure of the performance.

Real-time visual control

Our live production pipelines can use real-time platforms including Unreal Engine, Notch, Unity and vvvv.

This allows visuals to respond to:

  • Speakers and presenters
  • Live data and external inputs
  • Audience interaction
  • Live camera feeds
  • Changes to the running order
  • Performance and stage cues

Pre-rendered sequences, generative visuals and live content can be layered, triggered and switched during the show. Real-time production also gives the operator more flexibility when a presentation changes at the last minute.

Synchronized shows across venues

A live show can be delivered from a single venue or synchronized across multiple locations.

We can coordinate simultaneous premieres and live events across cities, countries and time zones, with show control operated on site or remotely.

For complex productions, we build redundancy into the workflow and rehearse failover procedures before the event. Operators work from defined cue structures and tested backup systems so that technical problems do not become part of the performance.

From rehearsal to showtime

We can support the full live production process, including:

  • Live show concept and narrative sequencing
  • Technical infrastructure and signal planning
  • Show control and synchronization
  • Operator scripting and cue programming
  • Media server and playback configuration
  • Lighting and sound coordination
  • Failover and redundancy planning
  • Technical tests and full rehearsals
  • Live show operation, on site or remotely

The aim is simple: every part of the show should know when to happen, what it needs to respond to and what happens if something changes.

Films & co-productions

The same craft powers our films

The techniques we invent for a live show go on to shape fulldome films and co-productions — and vice versa. Explore the other half of the studio.
